Last year, I ordered a Project 365 Kit from Creating Keepsakes. The concept is simple - a scrapbook that encompasses photos and journaling for 365 days - one year starting on January 1st. The problem was that the kit didn't arrive until mid-March and only after I had fought with the company over double-charging me for the kit and then triple-charging me for shipping. I completely cancelled my order twice and yet I still received a kit. By the time I received the kit, I had already missed over 10 weeks of the year so I simply put it in the closet in disgust. I had plans to give it to a friend or even to sell it on ebay but I never did any of that for some reason.
Fast forward nearly 10 months and I woke up yesterday morning (on January 1st) and I suddenly remembered the kit. I ran to the closet to see if it was still there. And it was.
So, this year, we're going to do Project 365 as a family project. I'm letting the kids journal whatever and whenever they want and they can put photos in it or pictures in it or even their school papers. I'm sure I'll fill in a lot, too. I'm excited. :)
