I finished the Line Art Quilt over the weekend and am so glad to be done with the quilting on this one. It's a very long quilt and took a long time to quilt.
But it's very fresh and reminds me of spring and I think it will get a lot of use out on our sun porch this spring.
This was the first quilt I've made from a kit before and I loved the idea of a kit. The kit was from The Fat Quarter Shop and everything they sell is meticulously designed. And this kit was no different. However, I'm not sure I'll buy a kit again. I like to have a partially-pieced back with some solids and most kits simply give you print yardage.
For example, this kit came with four yards of this fabric for the back.
That was just too busy for me. Instead, I used Kona white and some scraps from the front to make a pieced back.
As I usually do, I did organic straight line quilting. It gave the quilt fantastic texture.
And now that it's done, I can move on to my Central Park quilt. :)
